What could you possibly say about Ginger Baker?? At a time when most of today’s ‘best’ or ‘top’ drummers were out in the yard with two sticks they found that fell out of a tree, beatn’ the crap out of cans, plastic toys, tires, the sides of houses, fences, cars, bikes and other kids,(most anything within hitting range), this man was making history in music. Enough so, that every member of the second generation of Rock drummers would call him an inspiration to them. A stately gentleman now, still feeling the beat and still translating it into something fabulous we all can feel!! Thank You Mr. Baker for letting us know, we’ll still have it when we’re grandpa’s or even great- grandpa’s. Our hihats off to You!!!
